Prof. Kung-Chung Hsu

Dr. Kung-Chung Hsu received Ph.D. in Department of Chemical Engineering at The Penn State University, in 1985. He was an Associated Professor in 1990-1996, the Head of the Department in 2008-10, and has been a professor in the Department of Chemistry of National Taiwan Normal University, since 1996. So far he has published more than 40 papers in SCI journals and obtained over 20 patents. His research interests are (1) preparation and development of superplasticizers and self-curing agents in concrete, (2) preparation and applications of dispersing agents in ceramic materials, and (3) preparation and applications of nano powder and graphene/polymer composites.

Prof. Luheng Wang
Professor, doctoral supervisor, Shenghua Scholar Distinguished Professor

Luheng Wang received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Precision Instruments and Mechanology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor with the School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, Changsha, China. He is currently the Shenghua scholar distinguished professor, and the leader of the CSU flexible sensor lab. His current research interest is to study the key mechanical/electrical properties and mechanisms for the novel flexible sensitive materials which possess multi-sensing-functions (e.g. pressure sensitive function, temperature sensitive function, magnetic sensitive function, and gas sensitive function, etc.), and to develop the multi-functional flexible sensor system based on the aforementioned sensitive materials.

Prof. Xizhong An
Northeastern University
Dr. Xizhong An got his Ph.D degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) in 2002, and currently he is working as a full professor in School of Metallurgy, Northeastern University (NEU). Prof. An’s research interests include numerical and physical study on particle packing, granular matter, and powder metallurgy. In recent years, he has undertaken more than 10 projects from Chinese government, local government, and enterprise. More than 50 papers were published, where nearly 40 were in SCI journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett., Powder Technol. and so on and two Chinese patents were authorized. He has received numerous honours and awards. He is currently the executive director of National Materials New Technology Development Research Institute; Youth Director of Chinese Society of Particuology; Director of Liaoning Provincial Particulate Association; Member of American Association for Science and Technology; Editor for “Chinese Journal of Science and Technology”; Member of editorial board for “Journal of Mineral, Metal and Material Engineering”, “Engineering and Materials Sciences”, “Universal Journal of Materials Science”.

Dr. Udo Erich Schwingenschl¨ogl

Dr. Udo Erich Schwingenschl¨ogl was a scientific employee in university of Augsburg, Germany from 07/2001–09/2004. From 09/2004–02/2008, he was a Secondary School Teacher in State of Bavaria, Germany. And from 03/2008–08/2008 he worked as a visiting Professor in University of Bras´ılia (ICCMP), Brazil. And during 09/2008–10/2011, he was an assistant Professor in KAUST, Saudi Arabia. While during 09/2009–11/2012, he was the Program Chair “Materials Science & Engineering” of KAUST, Saudi Arabia. During 11/2011–06/2014, he was the Associate Professor in KAUST, Saudi Arabia, again. During 12/2012–06/2015, he became the Associate Dean “Physical Science & Engineering” in KAUST, Saudi Arabia. And until now, he was the professor of KAUST, Saudi Arabia.

Prof. Mohini M. Sain
University of Toronto, Canada
Dr. Sain specializes in advanced lignocellulose nano-technology, biocomposites and bio-nanocomposites at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Forestry. He is cross-appointed to the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. He is a fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, UK and Fellow of Canadian Engineering Society. Besides, he is also an adjunct professor of the Chemical Engineering Departments at the University of New Brunswick, University of Guelph, University of Lulea, Sweden, Honorary Professor at Slovak Technical University and Institute of Environmental Science at the University of Toronto, and collaborates with American and European research institutes and universities. Prof. Sain is globally known for his pioneering work on Biocar Initiative and in 2009 issue of Toronto Life magazine featured his idea as the second best among 25 World Changing Ideas from the Smartest Torontonians. Dr. Sain holds several awards and patents. He is highly acclaimed engineering consultant in materials engineering and work with almost 75 companies worldwide.

Prof. Zhuo Ni
Shenzhen University
Ni Zhuo, Professor, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shenzhen University; B.S. & M.S., Department of Chemistry, Jilin University; Ph.D., Interdisciplinary research center, Department of Materials Engineering, Wales University of Swansea. Used to work with 3M (Senior Chemist) , Litton System Canada (Senior Materials Engineer) and Optium USA (Senior Processing Engineer), etc. 20+ projects including NSFC were completed, 100+ papers were published, 20+ patents including 4 USA patents and 3 EU patents were approved.



Prof. Ning Zhang
Beijing Union University, China
Ning Zhang received the MS degree in Physics science from Hefei University of Technology in 1992, and the PhD degree in Optics science from the department of Optics Engineering, University of Tianjin in 2002. From 2002-2004, as a postdoctoral research fellow, he worked in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He is currently a professor in Beijing Union University. His research interests are in the areas of Structural Materials, Functional Materials, Materials Processing and Genomic Engineering, Electronic Materials, and Optical Materials.
